INDUSTRIAL SHOCK ABSORBERS

Industrial shock absorbers are closed damping components with a displacement working principle. Here, kinetic energy is exerted on the piston rod by the accelerated force acting from the outside.
As soon as the piston rod is pressed in, the retracting piston displaces the oil in the inner pressure tube through existing throttle holes. The number of throttle holes (depending on the application) is reduced in proportion to the stroke already run. As a result, the entry speed becomes lower and lower. The oil displaced by the piston rod is compensated by an internal accumulator.
